Performs statutory Town Clerk responsibilities, prepares agendas and related materials preparation of board minutes; serves as custodian of official town records; prepares notices and legal advertisements; provides administrative support to Town Manager, Finance Officer and board; maintains and processes all document for payroll; thorough knowledge of NC General Statutes and local ordinances governing municipal and the statutory role of Clerk; considerable knowledge of automation, possess great organization skills, possess the ability to prioritize workload, the ability to retain the knowledge to complete all assignments, technology and techniques in supporting administrative and office management function. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, departmental heads, governmental officials and with other town employees. Desirable education is an Associates degree in Accounting or Business and considerable experience in public administration. Ability to obtain Municipal Clerk Certification and possess a valid NC Driver License.

The Maintenance Worker will be an integral part of the Public Works department.
The position requires graduation from high school or a GED. Applicant must possess a valid NC
Driver’s License and a Class B Commercial Driver’s license is preferred. The work involves a variety of tasks in the maintenance of town streets, parks, water, sewer, and utilities. Salary range depends upon qualifications.
